My Christmas Blog
Updated: May 16, 2020
With Christmas coming up and all that implies, I was going to make an audio recording of Chapter 1 of my upcoming book, “Rhythms Of My Life” where I attempt to describe my birth, as I imagined it was.
I have often reflected on Christmas and what it means to different sections of the community. To some it is just a celebration of the midwinter solstice on the date the Romans celebrated it. To others it celebrates the birth of Jesus. You can take your pick. Some cultures are just thankful for the days off.
The main reason I chose Chapter 1 to record is because, like Christmas it is the birth. The start of what is to come.
It was going to be the most perfect of recordings, with almost studio like quality, music in the background and no hisses or distortions. It was going to be the recording of the year, well maybe the hour.
Sadly, I have been down with the flu, or something akin to that. Whatever it is, my energy is still in bed and it laughs at me, when I suggest that we can do all that before Christmas.
All I can offer is a recording I had done before I got the flu, or “A little cold” as my wife keeps telling me I have.
Have a great, Christmas and New Year, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Omisoka, Saturnalia, Original Yule and if none of those brings you contentment, then just have a peaceful, restful, joyous time with those you love over the next few weeks and into the New Year.
All the Love,
